Years of Experience: Started working at Skirack in 2002. First stepped on skis in winter of 1983-84.

Outside Interests and Hobbies: Outside of lots of cross country skiing - I ran competitively in high school and into college, then switched over to road bike racing for many years, and most recently have gotten into mountain biking, a little cyclocross, and a fair amount of coaching. I enjoy stand up comedy and follow the NBA.

Favorite Gear: The first time you ever cross country ski with a top level carbon ski pole is something you never forget - it's hard to switch back to something that's heavier that flexes.

Favorite local outdoor destination(s): A long ski day at Trapp Family Lodge, a quick jump in the hot tub, and then a stop down at Piecasso in Stowe for some pizza - that's a perfect day!

Fun Fact or Story: My favorite cross country skiing memory is actually an eating memory. The memory is of sitting on the bumper of my car with Ben Lustgarten after the 2010 Eastern Cup finals eating mango chutney chicken salad. Ben had finished 5th and that race really displayed his improvement and the type of trajectory he was on - and how good my wife's chicken salad is!
