"I really enjoyed coaching the skate clinic at Sleepy Hollow. I think that reaching out to young high school athletes is extremely important to grow the sport of nordic skiing and give a sense of what can be accomplished through hard work and dedication.

I remember when I was a young high school skier looking up to the older and more experienced racers as idols, and how powerful that was for my own motivation.

I hope I can provide a bit of motivation myself to some of these up-and-coming athletes. I also enjoy seeing how the culture of nordic skiing has been growing in the area where I grew up, it is very powerful and I appreciate the hard work that all these kids are doing." - Ben Lustgarten.
