Overview: We have several open positions for Nordic Sales Associates. In this position you will be the go-to for customers looking to buy Nordic gear and accessories for both recreational and competitive skiers of all ages and abilities. Prior retail experience is not necessary, but candidates must demonstrate the ability to acquire the knowledge and skills that are essential to providing outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver friendly, knowledgeable, and professional customer service to every visitor.
  • Assist customers in selecting the right gear and accessories based on their needs and experience level.
  • Provide fitting assistance to ensure comfort and proper sizing.
  • Keep the store and related areas clean, organized, and well-stocked.
  • Ensure sales floors, displays, and fitting areas are visually appealing and functional.
  • Assist with inventory management and restocking as needed.
  • Provide coverage in other areas of the business as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Strong technical knowledge of Nordic equipment, accessories, and clothing OR the interest in learning.
  • Minimum expectation would be 15 hrs./week. Days and hours of work vary depending upon the needs of the business. Weekends and occasional evenings are required.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and manages time effectively and contributes to department performance goals.
  • Must be able to use computers, Internet, POS and phones daily. Prior experience working in retail with Lightspeed POS is a plus. 
  • Must be able to safely lift/carry/drag 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to stand up to 7+ hours. (Reasonable accommodations will be considered)
Experienced Alpine Ski/Boot Sales Associates Plus

Overview: We are  looking for several highly qualified and skilled alpine ski outfitters. A large part of this job will be boot fitting and the applicant should feel comfortable in all parts of alpine outfitting including custom boot work. Experience is a must. We will give preference to individuals who also have experience with cycling, running and clothing to support our other seasonal businesses.

Overview: Ski Rack Inc. is looking for experienced technicians and service writers to join our team. This position requires that a technician be able to diagnose and complete repairs on snow sport and bicycle gear of all nature from various manufacturers, assemble new bikes, mount bindings, ski tuning and complete quality assurance inspections.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with guests and retail department staff to fit, service, and maintain bike, snowboard and alpine skiing equipment including, but not limited to binding mounting and adjustments, equipment repair, tuning, and waxing.
  • Perform evaluations and initial inspections to write and prepare notes for service technicians
  • Research part compatibility and availability as needed with repairs
  • Prioritize daily repairs to meet deadlines
  • Deliver high customer service through thorough communication and high-quality repairs.
  • Provide the highest level of customer service
  • Actively contribute to a positive work environment
  • Maintain a high degree of cleanliness and organization in the repair shop

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of tech or service writing experience is required
  • Alpine, Nordic and AT mounting experience

  • Experience with ski tuning machinery (Winterstieger, Reichmann, etc.) 
  • Ski/Board repair experience 
  • Ability to work weekdays and weekends
