Whether you are someone who spends their whole day lapping the park; or the dedicated split boarder heading out at first light exploring ever further from the resort area boundaries; we all are listening to something. With headphones on or just on the way to the mountain, we all need that little something to get us amped and ready to shred. We have assembled a play list from a bunch of our staff who snowboard to help get your day off to a great start. Our staff has some pretty diverse tastes and each pick is of the employee's own liking. The lyrics may not be suitable for all folks or tastes, but diversity in how we ride and what we listen to is what makes snowboarding so fun. This is just meant to possibly expand our customers own music libraries and create some conversation on what you’re listening to as well.
Feel free to put your own top five picks in the comments so we can all find something new to queue up for that next awesome powder day!
The full Spotify playlist can be found here or click play below for a preview of each song!

![]() Nick W.:27 year old, surfy, carvy, fast, all mountain style. Favors off-piste tree runs, but is equally as happy finding lines and linking turns on the main trails. Always a fan of a good side hit.Daily Driver: Rome Ravine Rome's Ravine is everything I look for in a board To me, this board ticks all the boxes- surfy, floaty, carvable, jib-able... it truly does it all. With a set back stance, rockered 3d nose, and just the right amount of taper, this board shines on deeper days. When the snow firms up, however, I still find myself reaching for the Ravine. It's deep sidecut, substantial camber under the rear foot, mid flex (6/10), and blunted nose & tail let you carve, slash, jib and pop off everything in sight. We are all familiar with Vermont's variable snowpack and weather conditions, so why not grab a board that was born and bred to shine on its home turf? 1. The Rolling Stones- "Can't You Hear Me Knocking" Radio dial is turned up to 11 every time I'm pulling up to the mountain. No other song gets me more stoked for a day of riding, regardless of conditions. That opening riff never fails to get myself and friends fired up. 2. Witch- "Seer" If I'm ever riding with headphones (which isn't often, but it does happen on occasion), guaranteed this song is near the top of the playlist. It's impossible to ride slowly to this song. Let the mach-ing commence! Full-tuck and boosting everything. Doesn't hurt that the band hails from VT and MA, my two home states. 3. Grimes- "Oblivion" For when you're first to the mountain, and the trails are a blank canvas of soft, groomed perfection. This song calls for digging the tightest trenches you can muster, and seeing a mundane trail in a new light. Euro-carves and revert-carves aplenty. 4. M83- "Wait" I have yet to find a better pow day song. Used in countless edits, and for good reason. The ethereal, dreamy sound caters all too well to the pure bliss of a proper powder day. 5. Fatlip- "Today's Your Day" Something about this song channels my skateboarding past. Perfect for the mellow, playful, jibby days. Nollie-ing every knuckle in sight, and feeling the need to boost every side-hit, regardless of how shoddy. Core-shots can be repaired, boards are meant to be enjoyed.

![]() Max:30 years old. Constantly finding new things to have fun with on the mountain. Whether it's dabbling in the park or cruising through the trees, I just love being outside and going fast!Daily Driver: CAPiTA D.O.A. The Defenders Of Awesome pairs perfectly with Union Force bindings and Vans Aura Pro boots. 1. The Contortionist - "Ebb and Flow" One of my favorite tracks. From top to bottom you'll be groovin' and wishing the mountain never ended. 2. Mastodon - "Blood and Thunder" This tune is best cranked to eleven and will be perfect motivation when charging fast. 3. The Doors - "Riders On The Storm" You are the Lizard King, you can do anything. This classic is one of my favorites to jam while finding pow stashes in the woods. 4. Parkway Drive - "Dead Man's Chest" Be careful not to start a mosh pit in the lift line... If you missed your morning coffee this will help wake you up. 5. Chon - "Sleepy Tea" Catchy grooves and melodies that will be stuck in your head long after your epic day on the hill.

![]() Ryan:30 yr old been riding since 2001. Rides where the best snow is, whether it's in the woods or short fast turns on the edges of the groomers. Listens to mostly Alternative Rock and Hip Hop music.Daily Driver: Yes The Greats UnInc It has a twin profile with camber, but rocker at the tip and tail to give it some good pop and flow over deeper pow! This board is meant to have a specific heel side and nose edge that works with Yes's Asymmetric Midbite technology. This allows you to have some fun laps in the park with more stable landings while also giving you a greater edge hold at higher speeds. 1. Blue Scholars "Sagaba" Great song for surfing down the groomers and looking at the view to a nice beat. 2. Incubus "Nowhere Fast" Really tough to pick one song from Incubus. Very energetic and fun for the line you are nervous about hitting but determined to crush it! 3. Suicide Machines "Give by" One of my favorite throwbacks from the movie Brink! Great jam while riding that changes pace from fast and aggressive to a more simple ska beat. 4. Twenty One Pilots "Ode To Sleep" Another great change of pace upbeat and aggressive song that almost has 3 different songs packed into one! 5. Jurassic 5 "Jayu" A sweet flute line with a fun beat to keep you cruisin' down the slope or quick turns in the woods.

![]() Chloe:Newly Twenty-Seven. I used to take the bus from Edmunds Middle School to Bolton for night riding when was a youth. I've also been on a multi-year hiatus and happy to be back out there this winter!Daily Driver: Arbor Cadence Camber Out of stock for the year, but will be available next season! I’ve never owned new equipment before and the Cadence Camber drew me in as the perfect balance of pop and stability. I’m going to be doing primarily resort riding but I wanted something that I can also take in the woods if I feel like it. The Cadence Camber has some cool user-friendly features such as Grip Tech and Parabolic Profiling which make it easier to rip down the mountain; perfect for someone who’s getting back in the game. Arbor prides themselves on using innumerable environmentally friendly methods of production, which is what makes them one of my favorite board brands in the industry. Some practices include using sustainably sourced FSC certified wood & bamboo in their cores and topsheets, using wood veneers for their topsheets which minimizes the use of environmentally harmful fiberglass (while also drastically reducing the weight of the board and maintaining it's poppiness for seasons to come), and using Bio-Resins and Recycled Steel Edges. All these efforts (more can be mentioned) in combination with their commitment to have a 100% Solar Powered, closed water system production line by 2020 earns them a spot high in my list of admirable and forward-thinking snowboard brands. More info here: Arbor Snow Sustainability Efforts 1. Local Natives "Dark Days" An anthem of early days on the mountain. Nice mellow feel for some laid back turns on a warm up lap. 2. LEON "Falling" The beat of this song can brighten up even the grayest morning. Difficult not to dance to mid run. 3. Arlissa "Hearts Ain’t Gonna Lie" (with Jonas Blue) A remix of one of my favorite tracks. Her voice is unreal and it’s a fun pop vibe for faster riding. 4. Hippo Campus "Bambi" They don’t make you wait for the melodic hook of this song, it’s right there at the beginning which makes it a clutch pick me up in the afternoon. Instant energy and groove. 5. Supertramp "Goodbye Stranger" Always a classic in my book with an irresistible lead into the chorus. I also like the outro where it just goes wild.

![]() Kelsey:Late 20's and have been riding since I was 8. I'm always looking for pow to slash with a park run thrown in every now and then to keep me humble.Daily Driver: Arbor Poparazzi I learned to ski before learning to snowboard, so I'm used to having good edge control at high-speeds. I prefer a stiffer board for everyday riding but still want something responsive. The Arbor Poparazzi is a great mix of everything I want in a board. The shape and lightness of the board keeps it floaty in deeper snow but it's stable enough to hold its edge when the Ice Coast lives up to its name. While I prefer a directional board some days, the Swoon's mountain-twin design means I can also ride switch and hit the park with no issues. 1. Kesha "Raising Hell" My go-to pump-up song. I'll blast this on the way to the mountain and while riding. This pop jam never fails to get my energy up! 2. Lizzo "Water Me" A good beat and lyrics that make you want to rule the world - what more could you need? 3. Whethan (Feat. Mascolo) "Good Nights" One of my favorite songs in life as well as snowboarding. This mellow jam is my go-to if I'm on the lift or just taking it slow. 4. Sam Henshaw (Feat. EARTHGANG) "Church" A happy beat and a sound reminiscent of gospel music make this song a staple on my playlist. 5. Missy Elliott "Get Ur Freak On" I'm a firm believer that no riding playlist is complete without Missy Elliott. Just one of her many hits, this song always makes me want to get up and move.

![]() Connor:22 years old, mostly a park kid that rides trees or a trees kid that rides park, not really sure which. Always looking for something new, both on the hill and in the headphones.Daily Driver Setup: Arbor Brian Iguchi Pro Camber I love this setup because I know it has my back no matter what I throw at it. The wider nose and narrower tail keeps your nose up in the powder while still being able to takeoff and land switch. The uprise fenders keep it forgiving for those less-than-perfect lines we all have. I normally ride something with more of a rocker profile, but decided to switch it up this year because Arbor’s parabolic camber and Grip-Tech let you lay trenches through just about anything the ice coast throws your way. On top of that, Arbor is one of the greenest companies on the market which helps me sleep better at night. 1. Iggy Pop- "The Passenger" This song was the opener to the first snowboard movie ever I owned. I was six or seven at the time, and it has been in just about all of my riding playlists since. If Travis Rice and his buddies can go tear it up in New Zealand after listening to this, then I can do the same with my buddies at Bolton Valley. 2. The Naked and Famous- "Punching in a Dream" A bright, sort of poppy song and another one from the ghosts of T-Rice movies past. A great song for deep powder, carving down groomers, or blasting methods off of side hits. 3. Robert Earl Keen- "Tom Ames' Prayer" I like an old country song with a decent story, and this is just about the epitome of that. Fits the “no friends on a powder day” mentality to a certain extent if you ever find yourself riding solo. 4. Social Distortion- "Ring of Fire" Again, an old country song but with Social Distortion’s punk spin on things. Just like the Iguchi, I like to pull this one out while free riding. 5. Damien Marley- "Welcome to Jamrock" A steady reggae song from Bob Marley's youngest son with a good rhythm. Great for cruising through the park. Tash Sultana- "Jungle" This is probably my favorite song for riding trees. Tash Sultana is an awesome artist out of Australia and knows how to use loop pedals like no one else.

![]() Clarke:23 year old who is from Vermont, but has never set foot on a mountain...in the winter at least. I've been surfing for years so the idea of the “Clark” snowboard by YES really appeals to me from a custom shaping idea. Looking forward to learning the ways of the boards! As a DJ, drummer, and guitarist I listen to a wide variety but my favorite genres are reggae, funk and jam.Daily Driver: Yes The Clark I mean...what can I say? When you have a board named after you, you know you've done your good to society. This board is a pow rocker you can cut and customize to your specifications. What an awesome addition and a solid choice when you wanna get a little crafty and funky! Side note, they forgot to add the "E"...Starbucks tends to do the same. 1. Iya Terra- "Love & Respect" A total vibe. Speaks to holding high vibes, positive emotions and blocking out the negativity surrounding us. 2. Tatanka- "The Moment" A reggae track that sends you into a musical and instrumental trance. I can see this as a good carving or bombing song that will aid in you whizzing by everyone. 3. Twiddle- "Daydream Farmer" Wanna put a smile on your face? Just listen to this tune. Guaranteed to make you a happy camper. Wanna just relax with your friends on a run, tune in to this one. 4. Lettuce- "Trilogy" A song that is essentially broken up into the sections. Gradually getting more and more upbeat. This funky jam is a good go to for maybe some park hits or some backcountry adventuring. 5. Vandals- "Euro Barge" An old school punk tune. A good one for trashing the hill and picking up the pace a bit. Drummer Josh Freese can play the heck out of those skins! |
