Train through winter with the Salomon Spikecross 5 GTX. Salomon has taken the iconic Speedcross and added a complete Gore-Tex bootie for weather and snow protection. Salomon also used a Winter Contagrip®© compound, and added 12 tungsten spikes to the bottom of the sole for confident grip on soft or compact snow, and ice.

A Winter Running and Hiking Essential! review by Skirack Staff - Coop on 4/23/2021The Spikecross 5 GTX is my go-to for snowy adventures. They are awesome when its snowy or icy and let me run/hike with confidence in the Green Mountains. I particularly enjoy not having to fuss with any sort of rubber spikes falling off my boots in the cold. The Gore-Tex upper does a great job of keeping my feet dry and warm. Although, they are not the warmest, I have no trouble with my feet getting cold. I usually use heavy weight Darn Tough socks when I am just hiking (not working too hard). They are expensive but last quite a while and are worth it to keep me active all winter long.

I love these shoes for the simple fact that they will absolutely keep me outside and running in the worst of conditions!! The traction and grip are awesome!! However, they do not have much cushion so it took time to adjust from my regular sneaks and I don't think I could do high mileage in them. They run the tiniest bit short too. I'm a size 8 and that is what I'm wearing but I would be better off with an 8 1/2. My toe is right at the end of the shoe.

This offer is valid for orders shipped to addresses in the 48 contiguous United States. The Free shipping option is not valid for orders shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or anywhere else outside of the lower 48 states. Free shipping orders will be shipped by the most appropriate method based on their physical size and destination. Some items such as bicycles are not available to be shipped and are only available to be picked up in our Burlington, Vermont store.
2-Day Delivery to Alaska and Hawaii may take three days. Next-Day Delivery is available only in the continental US. Next-Day Delivery to Alaska and Hawaii may take an additional 1-2 days.
All shipping methods do not deliver on weekends, but on business days (Mon-Fri).
We currently do not ship to International addresses.
