Hi Stephanie,
Thank you for reaching out! We recommend the 160-centimeter Rossignol X-Tour Venture Ski with a Junior Binding. The ideal classic ski length for a skier with a height of 5 feet is typically from 152 to 183 centimeters, and the 160-centimeter length is ideal for a skier with a weight from 101 to 124 pounds.
Note that the junior binding included with this ski is the Tour Step-In Integrated Fixation Plate Junior Binding, which is only compatible with boots up to a European Size 40. Given that your child would need a European Size 41 boot, we recommend substituting this binding with the Rossignol Race Junior Classic Turnamic Binding.
We have looked through our inventory of junior combi Nordic ski boots and selected a few options that might be of interest to you and your child.
Firstly, there is the Rossignol X-ium J in a European Size 41. This boot has a polyester liner, a synthetic upper and a footbed with external three-dimensional plastic heel reinforcement. Its closure includes a one-pull lacing system and a central zip lace cover. The boot has a nominal weight of 1,200 grams per pair.
Secondly, there is the Salomon S/Race Skiathlon in a United Kingdom Size 7.5 (or a European Size 41⅓). This boot has an auto-molding foam liner, an upper with user-friendly protection against snow and water and a footbed with a hypersoft 5-millimeter insole. Its closure includes a one-pull lacing system and a diagonal zip lace cover. Note that this boot is not available online.
Thirdly, there is the Atomic Redster CS in a UK Size 7 (or a European Size 40⅔). This boot has a heel foam liner, a supportive-feeling upper and a footbed with an external three-dimensional heel counter. Its closure includes standard lacing and a central zip lace cover. The boot has a nominal weight of 830 grams per UK Size 4 pair.
We also have additional junior boots available on our website.
If you have any additional questions about any of this junior equipment or touring skiing in general, feel free to call our store at (802) 658-3313 to speak with one of our Nordic Experts.
Hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Thank you for your inquiry! The Rossignol X-Tour Venture Junior Ski comes with a pre-stalled junior touring binding on it. Due to the plate that comes pre-installed from the manufacturer, you will not be able to mount a different style of binding on this ski.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Your sizing chart has my 76lb (148cm tall) daughter at 130cm skis, yet most any other size chart has her at 150-165cm skis. That sizing doesn't seem correct

Question by: Michael on Oct 5, 2021 1:37:00 PM
Hi Michael,
Thank you for your inquiry! Our sizing charts come directly from the different manufacturers. That being said, because these skis are typically very soft, a good rule of thumb for this type of ski is to size to the top of the skier's head. The 150cm length ski would be a perfect length for your daughter right now. The 160cm may be a bit long for this season, but would give her more room to grow.
Hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
