The ultra-light Marker Alpinist 8 pin binding (245 g w/o brake) is optimized for lighter and specifically female ski tourers. A unique and softer heel spring supports easy entry and lowers the DIN range to 3-8. Besides that the Alpinist 8 is identical to the 10 and 12 models. It also offers active length compensation during ski flex and an impressive power transfer downhill due to a 38 mm drill pattern. The carbon-reinforced toe provides great stiffness and comes with anti-ice pads and integrated elastomers for easy stepping in. The heel features a climbing aid with 0°, 5° and 9° angle and allows super convenient switching between hike and ride mode. Very practical: Alpinist allows a +/- 7.5 mm heel adjustment to suit various sole/boot lengths!
- Construction
- Alpinist heel: Adjustable lateral release with different DIN options and 15mm of heel adjustment range (+-7.5mm). Offers three walking modes thanks to the hot forged aluminum climbing aid. The "Fast Shift Mode" enables quick shifting between neutral and highest walking mode. The active length compensation in the heel allows consistent power transmission and release performance, even when the ski is flexed.
- Anti Ice Pads: The base of toe and heel (if no brake is installed) to prevent icing in critical areas
- Climbing Aids: Neutral walking mode and two climbing aids offering 5° and 9°. The fast shift mode enables quick shifting between 0° and 9° without the need to rotate the heel.
- Alpinist Brake: Optional brake for MARKER ALPINIST. Improved usability on both brakes
- Crampon Kingpin/Alpinist: Easy to install crampons for KINGPIN and Alpinist available in the sizes 80mm, 90mm, 105mm, 120mm
- Active Length Compensation: Active length compensation in the heel allowing the heel to move back up to 4 mm when the ski is flexed.
- Length Adjustment: Alpinist heel offers a 15mm heel adjustment range (from -7.5mm to +7.5 mm).
- Carbon Reinforced Pin Toe and Anti Ice Pads: Carbon fiber reinforced material for improved stiffness and super lightweight. Anti Ice Pads in the base of toe to prevent icing in critical areas.

Skirack currently ships items to all 48 contiguous states, Alaska, and Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. We also ship to Military APO / FPO addresses.
If your order meets or exceeds the amount advertised on the website, you qualify for free shipping. Choose the FREE delivery option (up to 10 business days) at checkout. This offer is valid for orders shipped to addresses in the 48 contiguous United States. The Free shipping option is not valid for orders shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or anywhere else outside of the lower 48 states. Free shipping orders will be shipped by the most appropriate method based on their physical size and destination. Some items such as bicycles are not available to be shipped and are only available to be picked up in our Burlington, Vermont store.
2-Day Delivery to Alaska and Hawaii may take three days. Next-Day Delivery is available only in the continental US. Next-Day Delivery to Alaska and Hawaii may take an additional 1-2 days.
All shipping methods do not deliver on weekends, but on business days (Mon-Fri).
We currently do not ship to International addresses.
