A true form-follows-function powder stick, the Arbor Abacus is designed knowing that 100% powder days are few and far between. A structural Lacewood top, tapered shape, set back stance, and kinked sidecut deliver performance in mixed conditions and on varied terrain. Yet, in the goods, this fluidic, backseat fish adds up to total float-over, arc- on-through deep snow dominance.
Full Wood Topsheet: Works like a 3rd layer of fiberglass - during construction resin locks the dense wood fibers in place, creating a composite layer that structurally enhances a board, providing added return and durability, while allowing for important weight reduction.
Paulownia Wood Core Additive: Paulownia is a fast growing, plantation-cultivated species that we use an ultra-lightweight, balsa-like core additive. Unlike balsa, paulownia strength is similar to traditional wood core materials, which allows us to deliver maximum weight reduction, without reducing durability.
- Base: Sintered with Structurn finish
- Core: Poplar Wood Core: Poplar is still the best choice as a primary wood core mainly due to its combination of lighter-weight performance, durability, and availability.
- Fiberglass: Quadrax top layer with a Biax bottom layer for maximum performance. A carbon fiber strut is added for extra pop.
- Shape: A large stance setback mixed with some taper makes this the perfect powder gun. Don't count it out for some good carving too.
- Sizes: 160 and 164
