The SkateCut name is derived from the dual sidecuts (or SkateCuts) carved out of the front and rear glide zones. These dual side-cuts, each shaped like an hourglass, automatically counterbalance one another and allow your skis to ride flat over the snow, producing greater speed and stability.

This triple-ground stone finish offers maximum speed. The new RaceFinish stone grinding process applies 70 percent less pressure to the ski base. This process reduces friction and the chance of the base becoming burned, making your ski race-ready with minimal preparation. Fischer uses a fine grind for cold conditions (Cold Base) and a more aggressive structure for warmer, more humid conditions (Plus Base).
